Abstract: A DC management method, performed by a first communication node constituting an IAB network in a communication system, may comprise: receiving, from a first IAB node that is a lower node of the first communication node, a first capability report including information of DC-related capability of the first IAB node; based on the first capability report, identifying whether the first IAB node supports a multi-TRP function; based on the first capability report, identifying whether the first IAB node supports an intra-carrier DC; and based on the identified whether the first IAB node supports the multi-TRP function and whether the first IAB node supports the intra-carrier DC, configuring a DC for the first IAB node together with a second communication node that is an upper node of the first IAB node.

Abstract: An operation method of a repeater performing relaying between a base station and a first terminal in a communication system may comprise: receiving one or more signals from at least one of the base station and the first terminal; performing monitoring on the one or more signals in a time interval for which a transmission direction is not determined by the base station; and determining the transmission direction of the time interval based on a result of the monitoring, wherein the one or more signals include at least one of a first signal received from the base station or a second signal received from the first terminal.

Abstract: An operation method of a repeater relaying wireless communications between a base station and at least one terminal in a communication system may include: transmitting, to the base station, a first capability report including information on beam-related capability supported by the repeater; transmitting, to the base station, a first request signal for requesting to perform first configuration for coverage extension of the repeater; receiving, from the base station, information on the first configuration configured based on the first capability report and the first request signal; and relaying the wireless communications between the base station and the at least one terminal based on one or more beams formed based on the received first configuration.
