Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating a communication node supporting a low power mode in a wireless LAN. A method for operating a station, which includes a PCR and a WURx, comprises the steps of: allowing the WURx, which operates in a wake-up state, to receive a wake-up packet from an access point; transitioning an operating state of the PCR from a sleep state to the wake-up state when the wake-up packet is received; allowing the PCR, which operates in the wake-up state, to receive a data frame from an access point; and allowing the PCR to transmit, to the access point, a response to the data frame.

Abstract: An operation method of a communication node for supporting a low power mode in a wireless LAN is disclosed. A method for operating an access point comprises: a step of transmitting a CTS frame to protect transmission of a wake-up packet, a step of transmitting the wake-up packet to wake up a station including PCR and WURx; and a step of transmitting a data frame to the station. Therefore, the performance of the communication system can be improved.

Abstract: Disclosed are a low-power communication method and a low-power communication apparatus in a communication system. A low-power station may comprise a processor; a memory storing at least one instruction executable by the processor; a receiver for receiving a WUR PPDU according to the at least one instruction; and a transceiver for transmitting and receiving a legacy PPDU according to the at least one instruction, and the at least one instruction may be configured to cause the receiver to receive a WUR wake-up frame from the access point in an on-duration within a WUR duty cycle period; when the WUR wake-up frame is received, cause the processor to transmit a first signal requesting wake-up to the transceiver; and when the first signal is received, cause the transceiver to transition from a sleep state to a wake-up state at a TWT configured between the access point and the low-power station.
