摘要： Disclosed is the use of glycol ether aryl ester plasticizers as viscosity reducing agents in plastisols comprising di(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate, 1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester, or diisononyl phthalate as the primary plasticizer. The glycol ether aryl ester plasticizers improve viscosity and viscosity stability while maintaining or improving plastisol properties such as Shore A Hardness and fusion time.

摘要： A plasticizer has been identified that improves compatibility in PVC formulations where secondary plasticizers and viscosity modifiers are present. In general, 1,2- or 1,4-dialkyl cyclohexane dicarboxylate plasticizers exhibit poor compatibility, as evidenced by increased exudation, in the presence of secondary plasticizers, i.e. chlorinated paraffins and hydrocarbon-based viscosity modifiers. We have found that bis 1,4-(2-ethylhexyl) cyclohexane dicarboxylate (DOCH) displays the opposite behavior, showing greater compatibility in the presence of these compounds than most other 1,2- or 1,4-dialkyl cyclohexane dicarboxylate derivatives (i.e. DINCH) or blends of fast-fuser/general purpose plasticizers.

摘要： The invention provides a plasticizer for use in plastic materials such as polyvinyl chloride. The plasticizer is a blend of di-(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate (DOTP) and 2-ethylhexyl methyl terephthalate (MOTP). The blend of di-(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate and 2-ethylhexyl methyl terephthalate provides a non-ortho-phthalate alternative to plasticizers such as diisononyl phthalate and also produces good fusion temperature, gelation point, plastisol viscosity, efficiency, plasticizer compatibility, and drying time performance.
