A conveying and lock system (10) for introducing a bulk material into a reactor (14) with exclusion of gas and while preventing gas exchange at low pressure differences has a screw shaft (44) on which first windings (46) and second windings (48) are formed. A winding-free section (50) is disposed between the first and the second windings (46, 48) in which the conveyed bulk material is compacted. The compacting causes a bulk material plug which is substantially gas free and, during bulk material transport, the bulk material plug is constantly formed in the conveying and lock system (10) by means of the screw shaft (44) to prevent gas exchange between the product inlet and the product outlet of the conveying and lock system (10).
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing luminescent screens (2) for, e.g., color picture tubes is described. It uses a printing apparatus with heated printing blocks (3) and tampons (4). The printing inks (D) consist of a mixture of a hot-melt adhesive and the respective luminescent materials. The printing inks are printed from the printing blocks directly on the inside of the faceplate (1) of the color picture tube. It is also possible to first print a black matrix (M) of a ceramic glass color.

A shadow-mask color picture tube has a glass panel and glass funnel joined together via outwardly extending flange portions thereof. To mount a shadow mask in the picutre tube, holding plates are fastened between the flanges, preferably in internal recesses of the flanges, and each of the holding plates has a hole for a rivet which holds the mask and, in a preferred embodiment, an internal shield. The mask is preferably connected with the holding plates via bimetal elements.

For the purpose of the exact position adjustment and mounting of the cathodes (3) in their supporting plates (4) outside the system of a TV-Picture tube electron gun, the fitting position of the supporting plate and the fitting positions of the cathodes in this supporting plate are transferred to the outside of the system with the aid of a measuring head comprising independently guided spacing jigs (8, 10) for transferring the fitting position instead of having to use a limit stop lying outside the system.

In a shadow-mask color-picture tube, adjustability of the deflection yoke on the tube is required. A ring is mounted around the front portion of the deflection yoke. The ring being supported by the yoke is free to move axially and can be swivelled. The ring is also lockable into a fixed position.

When aluminizing the inside of the panel, blisters caused by the vaporizing lacquer, are likely to develop in the layer of aluminum, especially on the side walls of the panel portion. When taking care in accordance with the invention, that the coat of lacquer is roughened prior to the performance of the aluminizing process, these blisters are avoided.
