Abstract:
Techniques for managing chemical pumps and chemical compositions are disclosed. A system may include a chemical pump that is exposed to a chemical composition during operation of the chemical pump; a chemical reservoir containing the chemical composition, the chemical reservoir including an electronically readable medium including embedded information corresponding to the chemical composition; and a database comprising chemical compatibility data between the chemical composition and the chemical pump. An application executing on a portable computing device is operable to: receive a pump identifier of the chemical pump; electronically read the electronically readable medium to obtain, based on the embedded information, a chemical identifier of the chemical composition; query the database using the chemical identifier and the pump identifier; receive, from the database, a chemical compatibility between the chemical composition and the chemical pump; and output an indication corresponding to the chemical compatibility between the chemical composition and the chemical pump.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus (12) for emptying a fluid container (10), wherein the apparatus (12) comprises: a pumping unit (20) configured to pump fluids, a display device (22); a data input unit comprising a read-out device (26) configured to read out fluid type identifying data from at least one marking element (14) of the fluid container (10) and/or input means (24) configured for a manual input of the fluid type identifying data and/or for choosing the fluid type identifying data manually from a list of reference data displayed on the display device (22); and an identification unit configured to perform a data comparison of the fluid type identifying data with the reference data for identifying the fluid (18) inside the fluid container (10); wherein the apparatus (12) is configured to display fluid type information about the identified fluid type of the fluid in the fluid container (10) on the display device (22). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for coupling a fluid container (10) to an apparatus (12) for emptying said fluid container (10).
Abstract:
The present application relates to a system for dispensing a detergent solution from a solid detergent into a dishwasher said dishwasher comprising a washing chamber and being capable of performing cleaning cycles each including washing and rinsing periods; the system including a dispenser for dissolving solid detergent blocks and dispensing detergent solution, wherein the dispenser is configured to accommodate solid detergent, to be removably retrofittable into the dishwasher, and, to allow continuous release of all detergent solution as it is formed. In various applications the system may include a battery-powered control unit and a conductivity sensor, configured to measure the conductivity of the washing liquid and to provide the measured conductivity value to the control unit, said control unit is configured to process the conductivity value and to produce a signal.
