    摘要: A hybrid simulation system that provides realistic indoor starlight and mlight simulation. At least two light sources provides light where each is coupled to an aperture so that the light source is focused. At least one variable aperture control is provided for one of the apertures so that variability of that aperture area size can be performed. Fiber optic bundles coupled for each aperture which receives the focused light where each bundle contains at least one fiber optic which provides a light conduit. Each bundle is coupled to an overhead position so that there is directed in a substantially downward direction from the overhead position the bundle. The area is illuminated with a simulated constant starlight and a simulated moonlight that may be varied by varying aperture size.

    摘要: A covert all-weather roving camera security system includes a monorail track, at least one self-propelled trolley able to move itself back and forth continuously along the monorail track, and a plurality of surveillance cameras attached to the trolley. A housing completely encloses the monorail track and the trolley and has a sunshield on its top to protect the cameras from overheating and a filtered window on its sides and bottom to prevent human eyes from seeing in the housing while permitting the cameras to see out.

    摘要: Night vision goggles that is internally modified such as to provide a reatic simulator without activation of any night vision enhancement and includes a depth perception loss. An assembly is positioned after the objective assembly on the same optical axis for the transfer of the focused incoming light, which light is also color filtered. A fiber optic rod achieves the transfer of the focused incoming light without any use of an image intensifier tube.

    摘要: An Aided Target Recognition System (ATR) is provided wherein the recognit abilities of two ATR sensor subsystems with mutually exclusive false alarm characteristics are fused by a decision circuit to provide an improved false alarm rate versus the probability of target detection. The sensors, which respond to different types of radiation, have different false alarm patterns for the same set of targets and a decision circuit which contains logical function elements to exploit the difference in these patterns.

    摘要: The invention provides adaptive modules which combine with an aided targetecognizer ATR to program or reprogram its circuitry while detecting existing targets. The signatures thus derived are more likely to produce accurate target classifications than the mathematically derived algorithms currently used. To insure accuracy during this programming a human observer is included in the network loops provided by the modules and provided with overriding decision capability.
