摘要： A cradle for use with a radiation conversion device includes a cradle for carrying out charging of a radiation conversion device, which is disposed in the vicinity of an image capturing apparatus for capturing a radiation image of a subject, and which detects radiation that has passed through the subject and converts the radiation into image information. The cradle is equipped with a charging processor for carrying out charging with respect to a battery mounted in the radiation conversion device, an information acquiring section for acquiring information that includes subject information pertaining to the subject and includes image capturing conditions when the image information of the subject is captured, and a display unit for displaying the acquired information.

摘要： An electronic cassette has a casing and a radiation detection device accommodated inside the casing, which detects radiation emitted from a radiation source and having passed through a subject, and converts the radiation into radiation image information. The electronic cassette further includes a winding member accommodated rotatably inside of the casing. The radiation detection device includes a flexible base. The radiation detection device is wound on the winding member, and a portion of the radiation detection device is capable of being pulled outside of the casing.

摘要： A radiation conversion device is driven by an on-board battery, detects radiation that has passed through a subject, and converts the radiation into image information. A charging cradle to which the radiation conversion device is connected carries out a charging process on the battery. The radiation conversion device includes a signal transmitting unit for transmitting image information by wireless communications to an external apparatus, a transmission suspension unit for monitoring a transmission state of the image information by the signal transmitting unit and suspending transmission of the image information when a transmission error is generated, and a suspension release unit for releasing suspension of transmission of the image information when the radiation conversion device is connected to the charging cradle. The signal transmitting unit transmits the image information to the external apparatus when suspension of transmission of the image information has been released.

The electronic cassette includes a sensor for sensing that the casing has been lifted, a power supply controller for supplying power based on a detection signal from the sensor, a discriminating unit for discriminating whether the radiation detection apparatus has transitioned to an image capturing capable mode, and a warning signal output unit for outputting a warning signal, for issuing a warning when the radiation detection apparatus cannot transition to the image capturing capable mode.
