Abstract:
A double-disk slide valve (10), the shut-off plates (16, 17) of which are displaceable by means of an actuator rod (21) and which is provided with a bridging pipe (22) having two sealing rings (23, 24) that are in operative engagement with corresponding housing sealing seats (14, 15) of the slide valve housing (11) when the slide valve is in the open position. At least one of the two housing sealing seats (14, 15) rests, by the action of a resilient element (25), under predetermined pressure against the sealing ring(s) (23, 24) associated with the bridging pipe (22) when the slide valve is in the open position and against the peripheral edge of the shut-off plate(s) (16, 17) when the slide valve is in the closed position.

Abstract:
A double-disc gate valve is provided, the shut-off or valve discs of which are displaceable from an open position into a closed position and vice versa by means of an actuator rod, there being associated with the actuator rod a locking device by means of which the valve discs, together with the actuator rod, are fixable in the closed position. The locking device is movable in the longitudinal direction of the actuator rod relative thereto from an unlocking position into a locking position and vice versa, the locking position being variable in dependence upon the closed position of the valve with predetermined maximum pressing force of the valve discs against the associated valve housing sealing seats.

Abstract:
Single-plate slide, especially single-plate pipe bridge slide (10) with a slide-plate (16) and if necessary a pipe bridge (20), which is or are movable by means of an actuating device (18, 19) within this casing (11) in order to close or open a fluid passage (17) formed in a casing (11), the slide plate (16) or pipe bridge (20) having lateral seal surfaces which correspond with seal surfaces located on the casing side, especially annular seal surfaces (14, 15). At least one of the seal surfaces (14, 15) on the casing side forms part of a seal ring (23) located in the casing (11), which abuts with resilient pre-stressing on the facing seal surface of the slide plate (16) or pipe bridge (20).
Abstract:
A double disk wedge valve the valve disk of which is movable by an actuating rod and is provided with a pipe bridge which includes two sealing rings connected by way of a compensator, said sealing rings in the open position of the valve being urged by elastic bias against the sealing seats of the valve housing, wherein said compensator comprises an inner pipe section and an outer pipe section extending in coaxial relationship therewith. The outer pipe section is fixedly joined, especially welded, to both sealing rings. Also, it has a circumferentially extending indentation. The inner pipe section is fixedly joined to only one of said two sealing rings while it is axially movable relative to the other one. Within the valve housing a gas pressure can be set which is higher than the pressure in the valve passageway in the open position of the valve.
Abstract:
A fluctuating volume adjustable prosthetic socket for below-the-knee amputees comprising a generally hollow main body support of rigid plastic; a posterior popliteal section of rigid plastic generally contoured to conform to the posterior anatomy of the knees; elasticized sleeve means supported at lower portions of said posterior popliteal section; and cooperating locking means disposed on said posterior section and said main support section for adjustably joining said sections for controlled limited anterior-posterior displacement with respect to each other.
