Abstract: A flow control device includes a valve body, a first port disposed on the valve body, a second port disposed on the valve body, a gate disposed within the valve body and configured to control a flow of a fluid between the first port and the second port, and a seat disposed between the gate and the valve body, the seat including a first surface configured to form a circumferential seal with the valve body and a second surface configured to form a face seal with the gate. A method includes receiving, by a sealing assembly forming a circumferential seal between a seat and a valve body, a first force from a collar disposed on the seat in response to a first movement of a gate, and moving, in response to receiving the first force, the sealing assembly in a first direction of the first force.

Abstract: The present invention provides a gate valve assembly having a valve body with a channel extending from a distal end to a proximal end, a gate configured to be moved from a first position to a second position, the second position being when the gate is positioned in the channel of the valve body between the distal end and the proximal end of the valve body. A seat insert is also provided to be threaded into a pocked of the valve body and a seat is configured to be positioned within the seat insert. A seal is adapted within a groove of the seat insert positioned between the valve body and the seat insert, wherein the seal is a fixed static seal providing no gaps and/or spaces between the seal insert and the valve body allowing no debris to corrupt the seals.

Abstract: The slide type valve of the present invention has a structure in which a movable flowpath forming member is pressed toward a slidable sealing member by use of a spring member and in which the load of the slidable sealing member received from the movable flowpath forming member becomes equal to a constant spring load determined by a spring force of the spring member. Additionally, an attachment member holding the movable flowpath forming member that is movable to the fixed flowpath forming member has a housing hole whose shape substantially coinciding with the shape of the movable flowpath forming member. The movable flowpath forming member is housed in the housing hole so as to be slidable in a direction perpendicular to the first end surface of the fixed flowpath forming member, and, accordingly, the load distribution is uniformed both in a first seal sliding surface and in a second seal sliding surface of the slidable sealing member. Additionally, a third flowpath is formed to follow one direction so as to reach the second seal sliding surface from the first seal sliding surface, and, as a result, a pressure loss in the flowpath is minimized.

Abstract: An orifice fitting mechanism for pipeline flow measurement systems includes a fabricated body structure that is so fabricated that internal and external body plate connection welds may be effectively utilized in order that the body structure will have sufficient structural integrity to withstand the forces of high pressure service. Internal and external welding of the body plates is enhanced through the provision of internal hub rings that define portions of the internal through conduit structure of the body and also define a properly oriented transverse opening that effectively receives an orifice plate carrier assembly in sealed relation therein. The hub rings also provide for close positioning of pressure tap passages as desired for accurate flow measurement. A replaceable valve support mechanism is employed allowing the slide valve system of the orifice fitting to be field replaceable without requiring replacement of either of the upper or lower body sections.

Abstract: A gate valve in which four shifting devices, driven in pairs, engage the four corners of a rectangular frame. The latter transmits force, through eight force-transmitting points, namely two points per frame side, to a pressure applying pipe which is axially movable and adapted to lock the gate in position or release it.
