Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods, devices, and computer systems thereof for automated data collection from a subject. In certain embodiments, one or more characteristics of a subject are sensed, and the subject is given a queue status indicator based on a comparison of the subject's one or more sensed characteristics with corresponding sensed characteristics from other subjects. In one embodiment, the subject is a healthcare worker and the system, methods, and devices are utilized to evaluate the overall health of the worker as part of the check-in process for work.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods that may be used to controllably deliver alcohol to a subject using an inhaler, wherein the inhaler may include a housing having a flow channel coupled to an ethanol-containing inhalant reservoir, an actuator configured to facilitate release of the inhalant, a constituent sensor, and a control unit. The control unit may accept parameters associated with the subject, create an inhalant delivery regime, and control operation of the actuator based at least partially on a sensed constituent level to facilitate release of an ethanol-containing inhalant from the reservoir into the flow channel in accordance with the regimen.

The one or more sensors are configured to detect a change in an orientation of a subject's position in an environment and configured to detect one or more alignment orientations of the orthopedic joint prosthesis.

Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring compliance of a patient with a prescribed treatment regimen are described. Patient activity is detected unobtrusively with an activity sensor at the patient location, and activity data is transmitted to a monitoring location. Patient speech detected during use of a communication system such as a mobile telephone by the patient may also be used as an activity signal. Patient activity and/or speech is processed at the patient location or monitoring location to identify activity parameters or patterns that indicate whether the patient has complied with the prescribed treatment regimen. The activity sensor and other components at the patient location may be incorporated into, or associated with, a cell phone, computing system, game system, or vehicle system, for example. The system may provide a report to an interested party, for example a medical care provider or insurance company, regarding patient compliance with the prescribed treatment regimen.

Abstract: Described embodiments include a computer-implemented method, device, and computer program product. A computer-implemented method includes electronically receiving a previously prepared estimate of fees and costs to deliver a diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of a particular disease, illness, injury, or other physical or mental impairment (hereafter “healthcare service”) to a particular patient. The computer-implemented method includes electronically receiving data at least partially indicative of the healthcare service provided to the patient to date. The computer-implemented method includes estimating probable fees and costs incurred to date in providing the healthcare service to the particular patient. The estimating is responsive to the received data indicative of at least part of the healthcare service provided to date. The computer-implemented method includes outputting in substantially real time information indicative of the probable fees and costs incurred to date in view of the previous estimate of the fees and costs for providing the healthcare service.
