摘要： The present disclosure provides numerous applications for the use of liquid crystal polarization gratings (LCPGs) to controllably steer light. When combined with an image sensor, light generated or reflected from different fields of view (FOV) can be steered, allowing an increase in the FOV or the resolution of the image. Further, the LCPG can stabilize the resulting image, counteracting any movement of the image sensor. The combination of LCPGs and liquid crystal waveguides (LCWGs) allows fine deflection control of light (from the LCWG) over a wild field of view (from the LCPG). Further applications of LCPGs include object tracking and the production of depth images using multiple imaging units and independently steered LCPGs. The LCPG may be used in controlling both the projection and reception of light.

摘要： The caulking nozzle assembly is a flexible caulk-dispensing tube which is readily attached and removed from a caulk canister's spout dispenser by use of an attaching nut which is fitted over one end of the caulk-dispensing tube. The caulking nozzle assembly further includes a curved angle guide tube that fits over the caulk-dispensing tube. As the angle guide tube is stiffer than the caulk-dispensing tube fitted therein, proper placement of the angle guide tube over the caulk-dispensing tube provides a caulking nozzle assembly which acts as an extension of the spout dispenser and which directionally dispenses the caulking material to surfaces which are difficult to reach in accordance with the shape of the angle guide tube.

摘要： A flashlight has a casing, designed for hand-carrying, housing a motor connected to a lighthead by a mechanical linkage, one or more power sources configured to supply power to the lighthead and to the motor, and a user-operable control device configured to control a motion of the lighthead. The lighthead contains or is attached to a lighting element, the user-operable control device includes a switching assembly, and the lighthead is rotatable about an axis. The mechanical linkage is configured to translate a motive force from the motor into motion of the lighthead. Operation of the switching device rotates the lighthead, easily adjusting the direction of the light beam emitted by the flashlight at the touch of a finger.

摘要： A probe comprises a supramolecular structure having a chemical or biological recognition moiety; a phosphorescent reporter label; and an effector which interacts with the label so that the probe alters its phosphorescent characteristics on recognition of a target.
