    摘要: A centralized quality of service (QoS) entity having a processing device performs a method for managing QoS settings for group communications. The method includes: determining a plurality of active participants of a group communication session; and determining, for each active participant, an individual QoS setting, including a first individual QoS setting for a first active participant. The method further includes modifying the first individual QoS setting based on the individual QoS setting for at least one other active participant, wherein the modified first individual QoS setting is applied to a session leg used by the first active participant during the group communication session. The active participants of the group communication session can be on the same or heterogeneous wireless networks.

In response to a successful allocation of the requested critical resources by the secondary PTT communications system, the group call can be authorized by the controlling PTT communications system (115). The allocated critical resources of the secondary PTT communications system (155) can be used to establish the group call.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for detecting interference between spectrally distinct wireless communication networks. A first base station in a first network communicates with a first mobile device at a first frequency, and a second base station communicates at a second frequency with a second mobile device geographically co-located with the first mobile device. The power level of an interfering signal received at the first base station from the second mobile device may be estimated by sharing information between the two networks through an interoperability gateway. The path loss of a reference signal transmitted from the first mobile device to its base station is communicated to the gateway, along with a parameter associated with the transmit power level of the interfering signal. Based on this parameter and the reference signal path loss, the received power level of the interfering signal may be inferred.

The remote devices correspond to a single network node, and each of the uplink transmissions corresponds to a request for content. A subset of remote devices whose uplink transmissions correspond to requests for common content is identified and a Quality of Service (QoS) level corresponding to the number of remote devices in the identified subset is determined. The common content is transmitted to the single network node at the determined QoS level.
