摘要: A centralized quality of service (QoS) entity having a processing device performs a method for managing QoS settings for group communications. The method includes: determining a plurality of active participants of a group communication session; and determining, for each active participant, an individual QoS setting, including a first individual QoS setting for a first active participant. The method further includes modifying the first individual QoS setting based on the individual QoS setting for at least one other active participant, wherein the modified first individual QoS setting is applied to a session leg used by the first active participant during the group communication session. The active participants of the group communication session can be on the same or heterogeneous wireless networks.

摘要: Critical resource data (192) required for a group call can be identified. Controlling (115) and secondary (155) PTT communications systems can communicate using an expanded network-to-network interface (NNI) (140). Allocation of identified critical resources (150) can be requested (145) for the group call from the secondary PTT communications system (155). In response to a successful allocation of the requested critical resources by the secondary PTT communications system, the group call can be authorized by the controlling PTT communications system (115). The allocated critical resources of the secondary PTT communications system (155) can be used to establish the group call.

摘要: A service request (150) having a predefined QoS (152) can be received from an end-user device (105) by a transit device (110). The transit device (110) can act as an access point for the end-user device (105) to connect to a mobile broadband network (135). A transport resource (130) of the transit device (110) can be allocated to handle a data flow of the received service request (150). The network address of the allocated transport resource (130) can be recognized by the mobile broadband network (135). The network addresses associated with data packets (160) of each data flow supporting the service request (150) can be translated by the transit device (110). The translation can occur between the network address of the end-user device (105) and the network address of the transport resource (130) allocated to the data flow based upon a directionality of the data packets (160).

摘要: A portable electronic device implements power management to accommodate operation of a projector from the device's power source. The portable device includes a power source, a memory, a user interface, and a processor. The memory stores an image file and associated content metadata. The user interface receives a request to use the projector to perform a projection task, wherein the task includes projecting images from the image file onto a display surface. The processor is operable to: (i) retrieve the content metadata from the memory responsive to the request; (ii) project, based at least on the content metadata, whether the power source has sufficient power remaining for the projector to complete the task; and (iii) if there is not sufficient power remaining, modify parameters associated with the task and/or functionality of the portable device in an attempt to enable the power source to supply sufficient power to the projector.

摘要: A user can create “virtual graffiti” that will be left for a particular device to view as part of an augmented reality scene. The virtual graffiti will be assigned to a particular physical location or a part of an object that can be mobile. The virtual graffiti is then uploaded to a network server, along with the location and individuals who are able to view the graffiti as part of an augmented reality scene. When a device that is allowed to view the graffiti is near the location, the graffiti will be downloaded to the device and displayed as part of an augmented reality scene. To further enhance the user experience, the virtual graffiti can be dynamic, changing based on a context. For example, a user may leave a virtual graffiti message that changes with, for example, outside temperature, location, weather conditions, or any other context.

摘要: A method and wireless communication device are provided for managing information associated with purchases of active lifestyle products. The method includes receiving a notification (704) indicating a purchase transaction associated with at least one radio frequency ID enabled item. The notification is analyzed (706) and in response to the analyzing a user identifier corresponding to a user related to the purchase transaction is determined (708). A radio frequency ID associated with the at least one radio frequency ID enabled item is also determined (710). A wireless device (104) associated with the user is identified based on the user identifier (712). An information set associated with the at least one radio frequency ID enabled item is transmitted (714) to the wireless device (104). The information set includes at least the radio frequency ID associated with the at least one radio frequency ID enabled item.

摘要: A method, wireless communication device, and radio frequency ID reader are provided for monitoring radio-frequency identification enabled items. The method includes receiving a set of radio frequency IDs (1104) representing a set of radio frequency ID enabled items (110) to be monitored. An identifier representing a user activity and its relationship with at least one radio frequency ID in the set of radio frequency IDs and at least one radio frequency ID reader is received (1106). The method also includes determining if at least one condition associated with the user activity has occurred indicating that the user activity is occurring (1108). The set of radio frequency IDs representing a set of radio frequency ID enabled items (110) to be monitored by the at least one radio frequency ID reader are monitored (1110) in response to the determining that the at least one condition is occurring.
