摘要: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for obtaining efficient radio resource allocation in a mobile communication network comprising a communication network entity (15) and at least one user equipment (18) transmitting data to said mobile communication network entity (15) over a radio interface. A first data transmission from said at least one user equipment (18) is received, whereby said first transmission is decoded and a message (ACK/NACK) based on a result of the decoding is sent on a downlink channel (13) comprising information of said first received data transmission. A second data transmission from said at least one user equipment (18) is received, whereby the power on said downlink channel (13) is adjusted depending on the result of said decoding and the content in said received second data transmission.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement of obtaining efficient power control during soft handover in a communication network system when a user equipment (18) is in communication with two or more radio base stations (15a, 15b) over a radio interface on downlink (17) and uplink (16) channels. Transmit power control (TPC) commands are received from said two or more radio base stations (15a, 15b) on said downlink channels (17). Said received transmit power control commands are analyzed and a power offset on said uplink channels (16) is adjusted based on said analyzed transmit power control commands.

摘要: In a cellular radio system Transmission Power Control (TPC) power offset is set so that it is adjusted for each transmitting radio base station based on available relevant measurements that reflect the quality of the downlink channel carrying the uplink TPC command whereby an improved performance is obtained. The TPC power offset can for example be based on an estimated uplink Dedicated Physical Control CHannel (DPCCH) SINR, the number of TPC “up” and the number of TPC “down” sent by a radio base station and aggregated UE receiver power or UE transmit power over a number N slots. Also a mobile station used in a cellular radio system supporting soft handover may be adapted to apply TPC discarding thresholds based on the number and the quality of simultaneously received TPC commands. The discarding procedure in the mobile station may also be carried out selectively such that TPC commands that are determined to be unreliable are not discarded but selectively discarded based on how reliable they are determined to be.

摘要: The invention relates to methods, a user equipment and a communication network entity for optimizing the radio resource utilization in a communication network system comprising a network side and a user equipment side between which data is transmitted on uplink (17) and downlink (16) channels with a transmit power and said user equipment (18) is arranged to adjust said transmit power on said uplink channels (17) according to gain factors received from said network side, wherein said user equipment (18) is located in a location area of said communication network system. The gain factors are transmitted to the user equipment (18) solely when the user equipment (18) accesses the network system instead of transmitting gain factors during every session setup as long as the user equipment (18) is in said location area.
