Abstract: Provided for are lubricant base stocks with improved filterability. The lubricant base stock includes a bright stock or a heavy neutral and an effective amount of a pour point depressant. The filterability of the base stock as measured by the Membrane Filtration Method is less than or equal to 400 seconds. Also provided for are lubricating oils with improved filterability and methods of improving the filterability of lubricant base stocks.
