Abstract: Slurry is prepared by dispersing a solvent containing fibrous carbon (carbon nanotube, vapor grown carbon fiber (VGCF (registered trademark))) by using a media-type disperser, and the slurry to be applied to a collector is obtained by kneading the prepared slurry and an electrode active material. As a media-type disperser, for example, a ball mill disperser or a bead mill disperser is used. The dispersion using the media-type disperser is performed for 5 to 10 hours. As a dispersant, for example, at least any one of a nonionic dispersant, an ethylenic dispersant, a polymeric dispersant and an amine dispersant is used. The dispersion is performed so that a fiber length of the fibrous carbon becomes 2 to 7 μm.

Abstract: A conductive auxiliary agent for an electrode slurry for a battery. The electrode slurry contains an electrode active material and a conductive auxiliary agent, and is applied to a sheet-shaped current collector. The conductive auxiliary agent is a carbon paste produced by dispersing a carbon powder in a solvent. The carbon paste has a viscosity of at least 20 Pa·s and not more than 40 Pa·s. The carbon material can be acetylene black.

Abstract: At least one of positive and negative electrode plates constitutes a flat plate-shaped electrode body in a laminated power storage element. The laminated power storage element includes a casing formed into a flat bag and the electrode body sealed in the casing together with an electrolyte. The at least one of the electrode plates includes: a sheet-shaped metal current collector; and an electrode material. The electrode material includes a powder material including an electrode active material and a binder including an emulsion, the binder added to the powder material. The electrode material is applied, at a predetermined thickness, onto the current collector. The at least one of the electrode plates is formed into a predetermined planar shape by shearing off a peripheral area thereof through a shearing process.
