Abstract: A roller press comprises a roller having a roller edge; an edge wear component provided adjacent to the roller edge, the edge wear component further comprising a wear portion, an anchor portion and a connection portion; an anchor mounting pocket configured to receive the anchor portion; a gap configured to receive autogenous or semi-autogenous crushed material, the gap provided within the roller adjacent to an inner face of the edge wear component, the gap running substantially parallel to an inner face of the edge wear component and the gap configured to receive autogenous or semi-autogenous crushed material; wherein the autogenous or semi-autogenous material is disposed within the gap and the anchor portion is disposed within the anchor mounting pocket to secure the edge wear component to the roller. Also disclosed, is a method of mounting an edge wear component to a roller using such an arrangement.

Abstract: A roller press arrangement, a connection device for movably attaching certain parts to the roller press and a method for more easily performing maintenance on such parts is disclosed. The roller press comprises a frame assembly and a force generation device. The force generation device configured to move so that it is removable when top members of the frame assembly are connected to the side members of the frame assembly and fixed in a closed horizontal position. The connection device for attaching a force generation device to the frame assembly comprises a mounting plate and a hinge. The hinge is rotatable so that the force generation device is removable when top members of the frame assembly are connected to side members of the frame assembly and the top members of the frame assembly are fixed in a closed horizontal position.

Abstract: A roller press is disclosed. The roller press [1] may comprise a pair of side-by-side rollers [22] configured to form a nip therebetween. The roller press [1] may further be configured to grind or crush feed material. Each of the side-by-side rollers [22] may share a first end and a second end. A pair of cheek plate assemblies [100, 200, 300, 400] may be provided to the roller press [1], wherein one cheek plate assembly [100, 200, 300, 400] is provided adjacent said first end of the rollers [22] and another cheek plate assembly [100, 200, 300, 400] is provided adjacent said second end of the rollers [22]. Each cheek plate assembly [100, 200, 300, 400] may be configured for engagement with a frame [30] and/or housing [40] portion of the roller press [1]. Cheek plate assemblies [100, 200, 300, 400] may further comprise at least one wear bar [110, 210, 310, 410], wherein the at least one wear bar [110, 210, 310, 410] is configured with a wear surface [118, 218, 318, 418] which is located proximate to a wear zone 180. As the wear bar [110, 210, 310, 410] wears, it may be adjusted via indexing means [126, 226, 326] and held in place via holding means [125, 225, 325, 425].
