A magnet of the magnetic assembly may be energized to hold the tie-down and cargo in place within the cargo space or de-energized to release the tie-down and the cargo relative to the cargo space.

Abstract: Rock rail assemblies are provided for motor vehicles. An exemplary rock rail assembly may include a beam structure, an energy absorbing structure, and an outer skin. The energy absorbing structure may reinforce the beam structure and may be configured to distribute point loads when an obstacle impinges upon the rock rail assembly. The beam structure may be made of a metallic material, the energy absorbing structure may be made of a foamed polymer-based material, and the outer skin may be made of a polymer-based material. Abstract: This disclosure relates to vehicle exterior imaging systems that capture and display views of the exterior environment to vehicle operators. An exemplary vehicle exterior imaging system may include a glass panel including a combiner positioned between a first layer of glass and a second layer of glass, a first exterior side-view imager assembly configured to capture images of a vehicle exterior environment, and a projector assembly configured to project an output image onto the glass panel. The output image is based on the images captured by the first exterior side-view imager assembly. In exemplary embodiments, a wiper blade of a wiper may include a beam blade portion, a tip portion, and a heater element. Each of the beam blade portion, the tip portion, and the heater element may include a different material composition. The material composition of the heater element, for example, may include a thermally conductive polymer. The temperature of the blade may be regulated by adjusting a current flow through the thermally conductive polymer heater element.

Abstract: Exemplary deployable splash guard systems for motor vehicles may include features designed for blocking road spray. The deployable splash guard systems may include a flap that is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position for blocking the road spray. In the deployed position, the flap is positioned within a spray field of a tire of the motor vehicle and is therefore positioned to block the road spray from spraying onto a door handle and/or other structures of the motor vehicle.
