    Abstract: A modular jack has an insulative housing, two adjacent internal modules, and a middle shield disposed between the adjacent internal modules. The insulative housing has a front wall and a plurality of openings therein configured as pairs of first and second aligned openings, and a receptacle located behind the openings. Each opening is configured to receive a plug connector therein in a front-to-back direction. The middle shield extends towards a front wall of the insulative to define two module receiving cavities each receiving one internal module. The middle shield includes a conductive plate and an insulative sheet affixed thereto. The insulative sheet faces to the internal modules for insulation between the internal modules and the conductive plate. The insulative sheet is very thin that it occupies little space of the receptacle, thereby reducing a size of the modular jack.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes: an insulative housing including a mating face, a mating cavity extending through the mating face in a front-to-rear direction, and a pair of light receiving slots situated above the mating cavity and extending through the mating face in the front-to-rear direction; a pair of light emitting diodes (LEDs) each mounted in a corresponding light receiving slot, each LED having a lighting portion and a pair of leads extending rearwardly from the lighting portion; and an adapting terminal module including an insulative body mounted on a rear side of the insulative housing and four adapting terminals retained to the insulative body, each adapting terminal having a cooperating portion interference fit with the lead; wherein the cooperating portion is resiliently connected with the lead of the LED, the insulative body includes a retaining post, and the lead is retained between the retaining post and the cooperating portion.

    Abstract: A stacked receptacle connector includes an insulative housing forming a first receiving cavity extending along a front-to-back direction, a second receiving cavity stacked on the first receiving cavity along a vertical direction perpendicular to the front-to-back direction, and a mounting cavity located behind and communicating with the first and second receiving cavities. A printed circuit board (PCB) is mounted to the mounting cavity. A first connector having a front portion received in the first receiving cavity and a rear portion connected to the PCB. The first connector is fitted to be inserted by a first plug connector along two opposite direction. A plurality of contacts each has a mating portion received in the second receiving cavity and a mounting portion connected with the PCB. A plurality of footer pins connected the PCB to electrically connect the first connector and the contacts to an exterior substrate.
