    Abstract: A relief printing plate precursor for laser engraving is provided. The precursor has high ink resistance toward both an aqueous ink and a solvent ink and is excellent in terms of engraving sensitivity. A process for producing the precursor is also provided. Further, a resin composition for laser engraving is provided which can suitably be used for such a printing plate precursor. The resin composition for laser engraving includes (Component A) a compound that has a crosslinkable group and that is a plastomer at 20° C. and (Component B) a crosslinking agent, Component A and Component B having a (meth)acryloyl group as a crosslinkable group, and at least one of Component A and Component B having an ionic group.
