Abstract: A radiation detection device includes: a radiation detection panel; a supporting member having a first surface and a second surface being opposite to the first surface, wherein the radiation detection panel is provided at a side of the first surface; an electronic component that is provided on the second surface of the supporting member and drives the radiation detection panel or processes an electric signal output from the radiation detection panel; and a housing that accommodates the radiation detection panel, the supporting member, and the electronic component, a bottom of the housing which faces the second surface comprises a flat portion and a slope portion that is adjacent to the flat portion and becomes closer to the second surface as becoming further away from the flat portion, and the electronic component is provided at a position as defined herein.

Abstract: In an electronic cassette, an FPD and a support substrate are accommodated in a housing. A signal processing circuit for processing signals from the FPD is formed in a circuit board. The circuit board is attached to the back of the support substrate.The support substrate is a carbon plate made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic and exhibits anisotropy in bending strength depending on a fiber direction of carbon fiber. Spacers are provided inside a rear case that constitutes the housing. The spacers form a space, between the support substrate and the housing, to accommodate the circuit board. The spacers are arranged to suppress or prevent bending of the support substrate in a direction of weak bending strength.

Abstract: A first sensor panel, a second sensor panel, and a base are accommodated in a housing of an electronic cassette. Circuit substrates are mounted on a rear surface of the base. The base is made of a pitch-based carbon fiber reinforced resin obtained by impregnating a pitch-based carbon fiber with a matrix resin. The fiber directions of the pitch-based carbon fibers are aligned with one direction. Therefore, the base has high thermal conductivity in a direction parallel to the fiber direction. As a result, the driving heat of the circuit substrates is rapidly diffused to the entire rear surface.
