摘要： The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for performing a cell update procedure in a cellular communications system. The cellular communication system comprises a plurality of cells, and a first and a second network controllers. A station is initially on a first cell controlled by the first controller and then in a second cell controlled by the second controller. When changing from one cell to another the station sends cell update information and other information to the second controller which then stores the received other information and send to the first controller a message indicating that information has been received at the second controller from the station. A network element for use in the above method is also disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus, system, and method may include a user device, an HRPD network comprising a HSGW, and a 3GPP EPC network comprising at least one gateway. The user device may be configured to detect a need to establish a connection with the 3GPP EPC network, determine an APN value that corresponds to the 3GPP EPC network, include the APN value in a connection request, and communicate the connection request to an HRPD gateway of the HRPD network. The HRPD gateway may be configured to receive the connection request from the user device, determine a PDN gateway of the 3GPP EPC network that corresponds to the APN value in the connection request, and enable a connection between the user device and the 3GPP EPC network.

摘要： A method of relocating the header compression context in a packet network which transmits packets having compressed headers. A connection is established between a mobile terminal and a first network entity and context information used with compression and decompression of the headers of the packets is stored at the mobile terminal and the first network entity. The context information updating is stopped in the mobile terminal and in the first network entity and after that, a snapshot of the compression and decompression context information is taken and stored in the first network entity. The connection between the first network entity and the mobile terminal is changed to a connection between the mobile terminal and a second network entity. The context information snapshot stored by the first network entity is transferred to the second network entity to be stored therein as the context information of the second network entity. The stored context information at the mobile terminal and the second network entity is then used for compression and decompression of the headers of the packets.
