摘要: The use of a turbulent contactor to absorb a selected gas component from a gas stream. The invention particularly applies to a method of distributing a liquid into a gas stream which comprises providing a liquid to an annulus at the periphery of a pipe in which a gas stream is flowing, the gas flow drawing the liquid into a film along the inner surface of the pipe to a sharp edge at the end of the pipe at which point the liquid breaks off the surface of the pipe and mixes intimately with the gas.

摘要: The use of turbulent contactors to simultaneously absorb selected acid gas components from a gas stream and flash off hydrocarbons entrained in a liquid stream which include a solvent or reagent for the selected gas component. In particular, the method comprises feeding the gas stream and liquid stream into a first contactor where they are contacted co-currently and subjected to turbulent mixing conditions, and passing the multi-phase flow from the first contactor to a second contactor. The multi-phase flow from the second contactor is subsequently separated into a gas phase and a liquid phase.

摘要: The invention relates to a system and a method for control of emission of volatile gases (VOC) from a holding tank (80) for crude oil during unloading, loading and transport/holding of the oil, such as in an oil tank on board an oil tanker, in which a blanket gas is used to regulate pressure and amount of combustible gas and to prevent ingress of oxygen into the mentioned holding tank for crude oil. The system comprises a recovery device (50) for recovery of hydrocarbon gas from the holding tank (80) for crude oil, a storage tank (18) for liquid hydrocarbons under pressure, supplied from the recovery device (50), and that liquid hydrocarbons are fed to an evaporation device (70) set up to convert liquid hydrocarbons to gas form, for use as blanket gas in a holding tank (80) for crude oil.

摘要: A method is described for production of LNG from an incoming feed gas (1) on an onshore or offshore installation, and it is characterised by the following steps: 1) the feed gas is led through a fractionation column (150) where it is cooled a separated in an overhead fraction with a reduced content of pentane (C5) and heavier components, and a bottom fraction enriched with heavier hydrocarbons, 2) the overhead fraction from the fractionation column is fed to a heat exchanger system (110) and is subjected to a partial condensation to form a two-phase fluid, and the two-phase fluid is separated in a suitable separator (160) a liquid (5) rich in LPG and pentane (C3-C5) which is re-circulated as cold reflux to the fractionation column (150), while the gas (6) containing lower amounts of C5 hydrocarbons and hydrocarbons heavier than C5 is exported for further processing in the heat exchanger system (110) for liquefaction to LNG with a maximum content of ethane and LPG 3) the cooling circuit for liquefaction of gas in the heat exchanger system comprises an open or closed gas expansion process with at least one gas expansion step. A system for carrying out the method is also described.
