摘要:
Methods and systems are provided for a latchable refueling valve designed to reduce noise associated with opening and closing the valve. In one example, a system may include a valve armature with first and second latch indices formed on an outer diameter of the armature. The latch indices may be rounded and configured to engage with a latch guide to enable rotation between the armature and the latch guide.

A fuel system is provided, including a fuel tank isolation valve comprising an actuation coil and a latchable valve shaft at least partially disposed within the actuation coil. A controller may be configured to indicate a position of the valve shaft based on a measured current-voltage relationship between the first and second terminal wires during a condition in which the magnetic field generated by actuation coil current has a flux density below a threshold required to adjust a position of the latchable valve shaft. In this way, the position of the latchable valve shaft may be indicated without moving the valve shaft, and without requiring an dedicated valve position sensor.

Methods and systems are provided for adjusting and diagnosing a position of a fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) of a fuel system. In one example, a method comprises adjusting a FTIV of a fuel system by sending an electrical pulse to the FTIV; and comparing a current draw of the FTIV to a known current draw profile to verify the position of the FTIV. In this way, the position of the FTIV may be diagnosed, thereby resulting in increased accuracy of subsequent valve control.

A connector to a soft lock receptacle includes a controller and a memory electrically coupled to the controller. During a user coupling the connector to the receptacle, the controller generates and stores a stored record in the memory. During the user attempting uncoupling the connector, the controller generates a re-obtained record. Responsive to the re-obtained record matching the stored record, the controller unlocks the connector.

Methods and systems are provided for detecting and mitigating the presence of liquid fuel carryover in an evap system of a vehicle in response to a refueling event. In one example, during a first condition, a vacuum pump is activated to pressurize the fuel system responsive to a first fuel tank pressure decay rate being less than a threshold, and responsive to a second fuel tank pressure decay rate being greater than a threshold, the vacuum pump is maintained on until a fuel tank pressure decreases to atmospheric pressure. In this way, liquid fuel carryover can be quickly and accurately diagnosed, such that mitigating actions may be taken to ensure liquid fuel is returned to the tank prior to contacting the adsorbent material within the vapor canister.

Methods and systems are provided for detecting a fuel tank oil-canning event during conditions when a vacuum is applied to the fuel tank, such as during a fuel system leak test or during purging of a fuel system canister. In one example, a method may include comparing the fuel tank pressure changes during a leak test to changes in fuel tank temperature or fill level and indicating fuel tank oil-canning in response to a higher than threshold rise in fuel tank pressure during or following application of vacuum to the fuel tank while each of a fuel temperature and fill level remain unchanged. By detecting fuel tank oil-canning accurately, appropriate countermeasures can be taken.
