摘要: The present invention describes an improved grip belt drive system for use in sealing machines used to wrap articles in thermoplastic film. Briefly, a timing belt is used in place of the traditional flat or V belt. The presence of teeth on the pulleys, coupled with the use of a timing belt eliminates the possibility of slippage between the belt and the pulleys. To protect the system in the case of a film jam or misplaced article, a torque-limiting mechanism is included, which disengages the drive system if there is excessive counterforce. Furthermore, the outer surface of timing belt contains a pattern, which when mated with a second belt having the same or a complementary pattern, meshes in such a way so that the two belts are positively locked in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.

摘要: The invention pertains to an improvement for a tracking and focusing servo and defect management circuit that controls the tracking and focusing of an optical head on an optical media in an apparatus for reproducing a data, sound or image recorded on the optical media. The invention characterizes by the provision of a circuit for managing modulation of an RF signal from the optical pickup head caused when the optical pickup head encounters a non-continuous track in segment arrangement or a very long extended defect such as a extended flaw in the disc resulted discontinuous track segment thereon, and an adjusting circuit which manages the loop gain of the tracking servo circuit per the track arrangement of defect detection and a tracking profile, whereby the responsiveness of the optical pickup head is improved and track skipping prevented or recovered.

摘要: Surgical instruments are disclosed for manipulating selected tissue in a body cavity under visual inspection. The preferred instrument includes a probe in which a blade is positioned, wherein the probe includes a lateral aperture near its distal end. The blade can be extended outwardly from the probe along a path which is essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the probe. After the blade has been extended it can be used to effectively divide tissue. An optical system can be received in the probe for viewing through the lateral aperture in the probe.

摘要: Apparatus and method are described for selective cutting of the transverse carpal ligament of a patient. The instrument includes spaced-apart teeth which are supported on a first arm and a press member which is carried by a second arm. The teeth are prevented from contacting tissue when the first arm is inserted into, or retracted from, the carpal tunnel. After insertion of the first arm into the carpal tunnel, the teeth are exposed to the transverse carpal ligament and the first and second arms are moved towards each other to force the teeth into the transverse carpal ligament to perforate the ligament and enable it to elongate.

摘要: An optical card or disc drive having a card or disc adaptive receiving carrying tray. A compound pivot mechanism engages a spindle hub with a card or disc inserted and carried on the tray. The spindle and hub is supported by a base chassis, which pivots with respect to a main frame. A sub-chassis is pivot connected with the mainframe and elastically coupled with the base chassis. A cam member on the main frame engages the sub-chassis to pivot the sub-chassis coincident with the tray being level positioned or lowered relative to card spindle hub. The sub-chassis in turn pivots the base chassis to engage or disengage the disc with the spindle hub. The movement of the tray also activates a motor and roller combination to receive or eject the card into or from the tray. The tray accommodates card or discs and comprises mechanisms for securing the card or disc while the card disc is retracted into and ejected from the main frame. A card guide member acts to reposition the card into tray slot after the card disengaging from the spinning spindle hub for ejection out of mainframe. A focusing adapter member works to meet the optical pick unit focusing distance requirement for difference thickness of optical card or disc.
