Abstract:
A welded joint includes a cross member, a web having an extruded hole that extends through a thickness of the web and conforms to a cross sectional shape of the cross member, a collar surrounding the hole, formed from material extruded from the web in a direction such that the collar extends along the cross member and away from the web, the cross member extending through the hole and into the collar, and a weld for mutually connecting the collar and the cross member.
Abstract:
An offset mouth of a trailer hitch receiver tube. An offset is provided in at least the receiver tube receptacle bottom wall beginning at an offset inception location spaced from the receiver tube receptacle mouth edge, whereby the offset provides an increased receptacle mouth opening size of the trailer hitch receiver tube from the offset inception location to the receiver tube receptacle mouth edge.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for recognizing a shaft break of an actuated shaft made of plastic, in which a conductor is injected. This conductor extends essentially over the entire axial length of the shaft, whereby both its ends are connected to an electronics unit, so that upon a break of the shaft, and thus of the conductor, a current flow is interrupted and the conclusion can be drawn that the shaft has broken. According to the invention, the contacting of the conductor ends takes place via two electrically conductive rings arranged on the shaft, which rings in turn produce the contact to the electronics unit via carbon brushes arranged on sheet-metal springs.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adjustment device (1) for an internal combustion engine, particularly for adjustment of shafts with adjusting members. Heretofore known open/close switches are relatively large and cost-intensive in their production. For this reason, an adjustment device (1) is proposed, in which a set of gears (5) simply comprising a worm (7) and a partial ring worm gear (8) wherein pin magnets are disposed on the partial ring worm gear. The pin magnets (11) work functionally together with a non-moving switch (16) disposed in a housing (2,3) when a signal is produced by means of the magnetic field of the magnets (11) passing by the switch (16), which stops motor (4) and, as the case may be, predetermines a direction change. Thus, a right/left movement of the motor (4), along with a timely turning off of the motor can be achieved with only one external control signal.

Abstract:
A method of constructing vehicle frames of varying lengths from a flexible modular architecture is provided. The method comprises: providing substantially identical front and rear modules, and providing middle modules with constant-section longitudinal rails that are formable to a variety of desired lengths. The components are selected by trimming or forming a first middle module to a first longitudinal length and selecting one each of the substantially identical front and rear modules. A first frame, having a first frame length, is then assembled from the formed first middle module and substantially identical front and rear modules. After forming another middle module to a second length; a second frame, having a different frame length, may then be assembled from the second formed middle module and a second pair of substantially identical front and rear modules. An assembly for constructing frames of varying lengths from a flexible modular architecture is also provided.
Abstract:
The frame system, especially for racks and interior fixtures comprises elongate lattice girders, including three chords not disposed in one plane and interconnected in transverse direction by ties. The ties are so arranged with respect to the chords that their legs define the sides of regular pyramids having square bases. Each of the pyramid surfaces is suitable for the connection of two lattice girders.
