摘要: FIG. 1 illustrates a decoder for decoding a current frame to reconstruct an audio signal according to an embodiment. The audio signal is encoded within the current frame. The current frame includes a current bitstream payload. The current bitstream payload includes a plurality of payload bits. The plurality of payload bits encodes a plurality of spectral lines of a spectrum of the audio signal. Each of the payload bits exhibits a position within the current bitstream payload. The decoder includes a decoding module and an output interface. The decoding module is configured to reconstruct the audio signal. The output interface is configured to output the audio signal.

摘要: An audio encoder for encoding audio input data has: a preprocessor for preprocessing the audio input data to obtain audio data to be coded; a coder processor for coding the audio data to be coded; and a controller for controlling the coder processor so that, depending on a first signal characteristic of a first frame of the audio data to be coded, a number of audio data items of the audio data to be coded by the coder processor for the first frame is reduced compared to a second signal characteristic of a second frame, and a first number of information units used for coding the reduced number of audio data items for the first frame is stronger enhanced compared to a second number of information units for the second frame.

摘要: An audio encoder for encoding an audio signal includes: a first encoding processor for encoding a first audio signal portion in a frequency domain, wherein the first encoding processor includes: a time frequency converter for converting the first audio signal portion into a frequency domain representation having spectral lines up to a maximum frequency of the first audio signal portion; a spectral encoder for encoding the frequency domain representation; a second encoding processor for encoding a second different audio signal portion in the time domain; a cross-processor for calculating, from the encoded spectral representation of the first audio signal portion, initialization data of the second encoding processor, so that the second encoding processing is initialized to encode the second audio signal portion immediately following the first audio signal portion in time in the audio signal; a controller configured for analyzing the audio signal and for determining, which portion of the audio signal is the first audio signal portion encoded in the frequency domain and which portion of the audio signal is the second audio signal portion encoded in the time domain; and an encoded signal former for forming an encoded audio signal including a first encoded signal portion for the first audio signal portion and a second encoded signal portion for the second audio signal portion.

摘要: There are disclosed apparatus and methods for encoding and/or decoding information signals (e.g., audio signals). An encoder apparatus includes a plurality of frequency domain (FD) encoder tools for encoding an information signal, and an encoder bandwidth detector and controller configured to select a bandwidth for at least a subgroup of the FD encoder tools. The subgroup includes less FD encoder tools than the plurality of FD encoder tools. The selection is based on information signal characteristics, so that one of the FD encoder tools of the subgroup has a different bandwidth with respect to at least one of the FD encoder tools which are not in the subgroup.

摘要: An audio decoder for providing a decoded audio information on the basis of an encoded audio information is configured to obtain decoded spectral values on the basis of an encoded information representing the spectral values. The audio decoder is configured to jointly decode two or more most significant bits per spectral value on the basis of respective symbol codes for a set of spectral values using an arithmetic decoding, wherein a respective symbol code represents two or more most significant bits per spectral value for one or more spectral values. The audio decoder is configured to decode one or more least significant bits associated with one or more of the spectral values in dependence on how much least significant bit information is available, such that one or more least significant bits associated with one or more of the spectral values are decoded.
