摘要: The invention concerns a method and a control device for automatically controlling the heat dissipation {dot over (q)} in a mold 200 for casting metal. The heat dissipation of the side plate of a mold is automatically adjusted to a preset set point {dot over (q)}set by suitable variation of the volume flow rate {dot over (V)} of a coolant 300 through the side plate. In accordance with the invention, to avoid the necessity, when different molds are used, of adapting the control of the heat dissipation each time to different thicknesses or coatings of the side plates or to different settings of the side plates during the casting operation or during the casting of different grades of steel, the actual value for the heat dissipation {dot over (q)} during a steady-state casting operation is suitably computed on a current basis from, among other things, the difference in the temperature of the coolant 300 at the coolant outlet and the coolant inlet of the side plate 200 and material constants for the coolant.

摘要: A method for adjusting a roll segment of a strand guide of a slab-casting installation against a strand, wherein the roll segment has an upper and a lower roll support that each have an adjusting element for adjusting the two roll supports relative to each other. The method includes individual control of the individual adjusting elements, wherein the actual profile of the strand, including the heights of the right and left lateral edges of the strand, is detected and compared with a set profile that includes a predetermined set height, which is the same for the right and left lateral edges, and the individual adjusting elements of the roll segment are individually controlled based on the control deviation that results from the comparison so that the actual profile is adapted to the set profile, including equalization of the heights of the right and left lateral edges of the strand.

摘要: A process for producing the oscillation of a continuous casting mold, especially with the use of a hydraulically driven lifting device. So that the heat transfer to the mold and the formation of the casting shell can be effectively controlled, it is proposed that, for any given strand withdrawal rate, the zero line of the mold oscillations relative to the position of the surface of the steel in the mold be moved upward and/or downward during the casting process. As a result of this measure, the quality of the cast product is effectively improved.

摘要: A method and device for driving the support rolls of a continuous casting machine for liquid metals, which support rolls form a strand guide for the continuously cast strand. The strand guide includes electrically driven individual support rolls and/or hydraulically adjustable support roll segments. An automatic load balance control system for the drives is used as the sum of the individual forces for casting speed, motor torque, motor speed, and standard correction factors and is provided with individual adjustment of torque and speed of each drive support roll motor. A total driving torque for all drives is determined from the normal force of the driven drive support rolls and proportionately transmitted to each support roll in such a way that a static base setting of the torque distribution is used as the basis for the specific load capacity of each drive support roll.

摘要: A device for the hydraulic positioning of structural component parts, in particular rollers of strand guide segments of a continuous casting installation, with hydraulic cylinders, each of which is divided into a cylinder space and an annular cylinder space by a piston having a piston rod. The cylinder spaces can be connected to a pressure source by control members. Hydraulic connection lines are reduced or components used are reduced. Either the annular cylinder space is acted upon by a pressure which is adjustable but which then remains constant, while the pressure applied to the piston in the cylinder space is position-controlled or pressure-controlled, or the cylinder space is acted upon by a pressure which is adjustable but which then remains constant, while the pressure applied to the piston in the annular cylinder space is position-controlled or pressure-controlled.

摘要: A device for the support and oscillation of a continuous casting mould (1) for casting liquid metal, particularly liquid steel, comprising guide elements (4) which are mounted on fixed carrier components (5) and which is actually by means of oscillation devices (6). In order to shorten time required for mounting and dismounting and therefor to lower the down times and costs of said continuous casting device, a first module (7) is made of guide elements (4) and carrier components (5) and a second module (8) consists of the oscillation device (6). The second module (8) can be dismantled via an outlet (9) which extends laterally, perpendicular to the plane of symmetry (2) below the guide elements (4) or in between guide elements (4). Each of the two modules (7,8) can be dismounted or re-mounted in a manner which is temporally and locally independent from the other respective module (7,8).
