Abstract: An ultrasonic testing apparatus including an ultrasonic lens having a double curved focusing face defined by two different constant curvatures each extending along a different one of two perpendicular reference axes so that each of the ultrasonic energy rays or wave trains in an ultrasonic beam passing through the focusing face is deflected at a different angle along each of the reference axes.
