Abstract: A sonic vibratory apparatus for wetting the outer surface of a ferrous metal article located in a bath of molten nonferrous metal, and including an elongated bar, one end of which supports a pair of counterrotating air driven vibrators. A flexural member is carried by the other end of the bar and is connected to a flat annular ring having a planar surface which serves as a radiator surface. A source of compressed air is provided for driving the vibrators at a resonant standing wave frequency of the flexural member.
