Abstract: An infant care system comprises a platform configured to support an infant and to receive an applied force on the platform. The infant care system also comprises at least two load cells connected to the platform, each of the two load cells configured to receive at least a portion of the applied force on the platform and generate a signal indicative of the portion of applied force received. The infant care system also comprises a processor configured to receive and analyze the signals from the load cells and perform a function based on the analyzed signals.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for radio frequency (RF) coil arrays for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems. In an embodiment, a RF coil array assembly for a MRI system includes a compressible body; an upper posterior RF coil array including a first plurality of RF coils embedded in the compressible body; a lower posterior RF coil array including a second plurality of RF coils embedded in the compressible body; and a head and neck RF coil array removably coupled to the upper posterior RF coil array. The head and neck RF coil array includes a third plurality of RF coils embedded in the compressible body, and one or more neck straps configured to fold over a neck of a subject to be imaged by the MRI system.

Abstract: A method and apparatus includes an infant holding area, a display area, a heating system for warming the infant holding area, an environmental sensor, a physiological sensor, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive an environmental sensor input from the environmental sensor and a physiological sensor input from the physiological sensor. The processor is configured to determine a recommended skin temperature based on the environmental sensor input and the physiological sensor input. The processor is configured to display the recommended skin temperature on the display area.

Abstract: A blanket for use in phototherapy treatment integrates a phototherapy element for delivering phototherapy to a patient placed on the blanket and a heating element for warming the patient. In one example, the phototherapy element includes a light emitting panel made from woven optical fibers and the heating element includes a heating wire secured to the light emitting panel. In another example, both phototherapy and warming are provided by a woven optical fiber panel. Blue light is emitted from the panel for phototherapy and infrared light is emitted from the panel for warming.

The transfer device comprises a center section positionable beneath the patient, and the center section comprises a warming device.
