    摘要： A scaffold apparatus having a work platform positioned on one end thereof, which can be expanded to an elevated status, thereby elevating the work platform. The apparatus includes a base structure and a boom assembly pivotingly secured to the base structure and at the opposite ends to a work platform. A pair of piston and cylinder assemblies, interconnected between the base structure and the boom assembly, for elevating the boom assembly and the work platform. The boom assembly is provided with a plurality of beveled gears and beveled pinion gears and linking shafts, interconnected such that, as the boom assembly is elevated, the work platform is pivoted to maintain the horizontal status of the work platform during elevation. The boom assembly is constructed such that the upper portion thereof may be extended or retracted, thereby providing a further or additional elevation of the work platform, and yet allowing the boom assembly to be retracted in a compact inoperative status when not in use.
