The operating head (1) for removing and fitting wheel tyres for vehicles, comprises a tool (8) for the fitting and/or removal of a tyre, associable with a tool-carrying arm (7) of a tyre-changing machine (2) and having an abutment portion (9) which can be positioned in correspondence of a stretch of the edge (B) of the rim (C) of a wheel (R) fixed on the tyre-changing machine (2), a force measuring device (11) linked together with the tool (8) and having a contact portion (12) arranged substantially in correspondence of the abutment portion (9) and able to be placed in contact with the edge (B) of the rim (C) to detect the force applied on the edge (B) along at least a direction of detection.

The accessory (1) for tyre-changing machines, particularly for the locking of wheel rims for vehicles, includes at least a supporting structure (2) associable in a removable way with a revolving portion (B) of a gripping device for gripping the hub of the rim on a tyre-changing machine (F), at least two gripping jaws (3) of the rim (C) of a wheel (D) associated with the supporting structure (2) and moving along a reciprocal approach and away direction between a position of maximum opening, wherein the gripping jaws (3) are arranged at a preset maximum distance, and a position of minimum opening, wherein the gripping jaws (3) are arranged at a preset minimum distance, and at least a movement apparatus (4) associated with the supporting structure (2) and with the gripping jaws (3), suitable for moving the gripping jaws (3) between the position of maximum opening and the position of minimum opening.

The machine (1) for fitting and removing wheel tyres for vehicles comprises a bearing structure (2), an attachment and rotation arrangement (4) of the rim (C) of a wheel (R) for vehicles, a tool-holder assembly (5) movably associated with the bearing structure (2) and having at least a tool (8, 9, 10) for removing and/or fitting a tyre (P) from/onto the rim (C), an adjustment arrangement (11, 12) able to adjust the relative position between the tool-holder assembly (5) and the rim (C), to place the tool-holder assembly (5) in an optimal operating position wherein the tool (8, 9, 10) is operable to remove and/or fit a tyre (P), and a visual signaling assembly (13, 14) of said optimal position having at least an emitter (13, 14) of a light beam (L1, L2), the optimal operating position being defined when the point of incidence of the light beam (L1, L2) on the wheel (R) coincides with an external point of the edge of the rim (C).
