A method for processing a plurality of audio streams at a computer system onboard a vehicle is provided. The method receives the plurality of audio streams from a plurality of locations within a vehicle; prioritizes each of the plurality of audio streams to obtain a prioritization result; and completes a task associated with each of the plurality of audio streams, according to the prioritization result.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for controlling audio communications between occupants of a vehicle are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, a system includes an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to at least facilitate receiving a request for sound transmission from a first occupant inside a vehicle to a second occupant inside the vehicle. The processor is coupled to the interface, and is configured to at least facilitate identifying respective locations of the first occupant and the second occupant, and performing the sound transmission with an adjustment for a phase difference based at least in part on the respective locations of the first occupant and the second occupant.

Automobiles, automobile diagnostic systems, and methods for generating diagnostic data for automobiles are provided. A method for generating diagnostic data for an automobile includes capturing with a sound sensor an acoustic waveform produced by an automobile component. The method converts the acoustic waveform into an electrical waveform data signal. The method includes identifying a pattern in the electrical waveform data signal. Further, the method classifies the pattern as indicative of a selected performance issue.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for radio data system (RDS) feed data in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving, by a processor, RDS feed data; processing, by a processor, the RDS feed data to determine a classification of the RDS feed data to be at least one of active programming and advertisement; and storing, by a processor, information extracted from the RDS feed data based on the classification.
Abstract:
A vehicle telematics unit and method of operating the same is provided. In one embodiment, a method includes storing an application access code provided from a telematics service user, initiating a call from a vehicle to the application, and receiving a request for the access code from the application during the call. Furthermore, the method includes determining that the application has requested the access code using a speech recognition function at the vehicle and sending the stored access code to the application based on the determination of the speech recognition function.
