Abstract: A method to utilize an animation feature of a vehicle lighting member includes receiving, by a controller, sensor data indicative of a vehicle condition, determining a vehicle condition type from the sensor data, generating a control signal to control the animation feature of the vehicle lighting member based on the vehicle condition type, and controlling the animation feature of the vehicle lighting member to visually illustrate the vehicle condition type.

Abstract: A device for detecting a light beam projecting from a lamp of a vehicle is described, and includes a plurality of photo-sensors and a plurality of indicator bulbs. The photo-sensors are arranged in a linear array along a first axis, and the indicator bulbs are arranged in a linear array along a second axis that is in parallel to the first axis. A controller is in communication with the photo-sensors and the indicator bulbs. The controller includes an instruction set that is executable to monitor signal inputs from the plurality of photo-sensors to detect presence of a light beam projecting from the lamp of a vehicle, determine a cut-off gradient line for the light beam based thereon, and illuminate one of the indicator bulbs to indicate a location of the cut-off gradient line for the light beam.

Abstract: A wireless electrical device interconnect system for a vehicle includes an electrically powered device adapted to be disposed on an interior or exterior surface of the vehicle. A first transceiver is operable to provide a wireless electric power signal, and a second transceiver is operably coupled to the electrically powered device to provide energizing electric power to the electrically powered device to energize the electrically powered service responsive to the wireless electric power signal. A conductive link has a first coil and a second coil. The first coil is disposed adjacent the first transceiver to couple the wireless electric power signal from the first transceiver to the link, and the second coil is disposed adjacent the second transceiver to couple the wireless electric power signal from the link to the second transceiver.
