    Abstract: An evaporative emissions control system comprising an evaporative emissions control (evap) canister. A fuel vapor feed conduit includes a first end fluidically connected to the evap canister, a second end connected to an internal combustion (IC) engine and a purge valve fluidically connected thereto. A fuel vapor conduit includes a first end fluidically connected to the evap canister and a second end configured to extend into a vehicle fuel tank. A fuel vapor vent valve is fluidically connected to the fuel vapor conduit at the second end thereof. A vapor return system includes a fuel pump fluidically connected to the fuel vapor conduit through an intermediate bypass conduit having a first end fluidically connected to an intermediate portion of the fuel vapor conduit and a second end extending into the vehicle fuel tank and in communication with the vapor return system.

    Abstract: An exemplary fuel filtering assembly includes a housing having a sidewall, a first surface, a strainer element, a first orifice, and a second orifice. The sidewall and the first surface define a fluid well. The strainer element is disposed in the fluid well and the first orifice and the second orifice are disposed in a channel defined by a first flow guidance member, a second flow guidance member, and a flow separating member. The first orifice is positioned at a first end of the channel and the second orifice is positioned at a second end of the channel opposite the first end and the first orifice is separated from the second orifice by the flow separating member.

    Abstract: A fuel system includes a cooling fuel supply line that conveys a flow of cooling fuel from a storage tank to a mixing device. An upstream fuel return line conveys a flow of heated fuel to the mixing device from an internal combustion engine. The flow of the heated fuel from the upstream fuel return line mixes with the flow of cooling fuel from the cooling fuel supply line in the mixing device to form a flow of mixed fuel. A downstream fuel return line conveys the flow of mixed fuel from the mixing device to the storage tank. The mixing device includes a flow restrictor operable to generate a low pressure zone relative to a fluid pressure of the flow of cooling fuel in the cooling fuel return line that draws the flow of the cooling fuel through the cooling fuel supply line and into the mixing device.
