The controller is configured to transform the lidar point clouds with location transform matrices to generate location point sets, aggregate the location point sets in a duration of interest to generate aggregated point sets, register the location point sets to the aggregated point sets to generate correction transform matrices, update the location transform matrices with the correction transform matrices to generate updated location transform matrices, and generate motion sets based on the updated location transform matrices. The circuit is configured to receive the motion sets.

摘要: A system and method to detect an object with a radar system involve transmitting two or more sets of linear frequency modulated signals with a gap duration Dg, during which there is no transmission, between each of the two or more sets of the linear frequency modulated signals. Each of the two or more sets of the linear frequency modulated signals defines a sub-frame, and two or more sub-frames defines a frame. The method includes receiving reflections resulting from the linear frequency modulated signals encountering one or more objects in a field of view of the radar system, and processing the reflections to identify the one or more objects. The processing includes performing an on-off Radon transform to correct a phase bias caused by the gap duration during which there is no transmission.

摘要: A system and method to perform multi-target detection in a code division multiple access (CDMA) radar system involve transmitting, from each transmitter among T transmitters, a transmitted signal with a different code, and receiving, at each receiver among one or more receivers, a received signal that includes reflections resulting from each of the transmitted signals with the different codes. The method includes processing the received signal at each of the one or more receivers by implementing T processing chains. Each of the T processing chains is iterative. The method also includes detecting an object at each completed iteration at each of the T processing chains, and subtracting a subtraction signal representing a contribution of the object to the received signal prior to subsequent iterations.

摘要: A method for using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) to perform a maneuver in a land vehicle is provided. The method includes: receiving digitized radar return data from a radar transmission from a SAR onboard the vehicle; accumulating a plurality of frames of the digitized radar return data; applying a RADON transform to the accumulated plurality of frames of the digitized radar return data and odometry data from the vehicle to generate transformed frames of data for each three-dimensional point, wherein the RADON transform is configured to perform coherent integration for each three-dimensional point, project a radar trajectory onto each three-dimensional point, and project Doppler information onto each three-dimensional point; generating a two-dimensional map of an area covered by the radar transmission from the SAR based on the transformed frames of data for each three-dimensional point; and performing a maneuver with the land vehicle by applying the generated two-dimensional map.

摘要: Systems and methods involve detecting objects using a radar system of a vehicle. Tracks of the objects are initiated in a track database. The tracks store data, respectively, for the objects and are updated based on additional detections of the objects. The tracks of the objects are initially unclassified tracks. Two tracks corresponding to two of the objects are selected as a candidate pair. Criteria are applied to the candidate pair to determine whether one track is of a ghost object and another track is of a true object corresponding with the ghost object. The ghost object represents detection of the true object in an incorrect location. The candidate pair is classified as tracks of a true object and ghost object pair based on determining that the one track is of the ghost object and the other track is of the true object corresponding with the ghost object.

The reflected signals are processed to identify and locate the one or more objects. Processing includes applying an adaptive range-selective gain control (ARSGC) to control a gain corresponding with each of the reflected signals based on the range associated with the reflected signal.
