    Abstract: A method for modifying a brightness level of an automobile vehicle backup light includes: receiving electronic signals in a brightness evaluator and light controller defining at least one image captured within a field-of-view (FOV) of an automobile vehicle camera; dividing the at least one image into multiple independent zones; evaluating an environmental brightness level of individual ones of the multiple independent zones; comparing a brightness level of at least one backup light of the automobile vehicle to the environmental brightness level; and sending a control signal to the at least one backup light to modify the brightness level of the least one backup light.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a reservation at a charging station for a vehicle includes a controller in communication with a remote advisory unit. The method includes positioning a ground lock at the charging slot, the ground lock being controllable through a station command unit. The method includes generating an identification number through the remote advisory unit and transmitting the identification number to the controller and the station command unit. The identification number is randomly generated. The ground lock is moved to a blocking position when an estimated time of arrival of the vehicle is less than a first threshold. The method includes broadcasting a message to the station command unit with the identification number, via the controller, when the estimated time of arrival is less than a second threshold. The ground lock is moved to a non-blocking position when an authentication process is completed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for mobile platform localization for a mobile platform. The system includes three independent ultra-wideband (UWB) sensors mounted on the mobile platform and a UWB localization module operationally coupled to the first UWB sensor, the second UWB sensor, and the third UWB sensor, and programmed by programming instructions to: identify first beacon UWB transmissions from a first beacon external to the mobile platform and generate a spatial location of the first beacon; identify second beacon UWB transmissions from a second beacon external to the mobile platform and generate a spatial location of the second beacon; identify third beacon UWB transmissions from a third beacon located external to the mobile platform; and generate a spatial location of the mobile platform, as a function of the spatial location of the first beacon, the spatial location of the second beacon, and the spatial location of the third beacon.
