Abstract:
A system and method that includes detecting an application change within a multi-application operating framework; updating an application hierarchy model for gesture-to-action responses with the detected application change; detecting a gesture; according to the hierarchy model, mapping the detected gesture to an action of an application; and triggering the action.
Abstract:
A method at an electronic device includes obtaining from an image sensor a primary real-time video stream comprising images of a scene; identifying from the primary video stream one or more regions of interest in the scene; while obtaining the primary video stream, creating a first video sub-stream comprising a first plurality of images for a first one of the one or more identified regions of interest, wherein: images of the first plurality of images include image data for portions of the scene that include the first identified region of interest, and the images of the first plurality of images have fields of view that are smaller than the field of view for the images of the primary video stream; and providing the first video sub-stream for display at a client device.
Abstract:
A system and method for recommending clothing or apparel to a user. Activity of a user is detected in order to identify a set of items that are of interest to the user. One or more recommendation parameters may be determined for the used based at least in part on the individual items of clothing/apparel that are of interest to the user. Clothing/apparel content is selected for display to the user based on the recommendation parameters.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for gesture-initiated actions in videoconferences. In one implementation, a processing device receives one or more content streams as part of a communication session. The processing device identifies, within the one or more content streams, a request for feedback. The processing device processes, based on an identification of a request for feedback within the one of the plurality of content streams, the one or more content streams to identify a presence of one or more gestures within at least one of the one or more content streams. The processing device initiates, based on an identification of the presence of one or more gestures within at least one of the one or more content streams, an action with respect to the communication session.
Abstract:
System and method for image detection that include collecting image data; at a processor, over a plurality of support regions of the image data, computing a dimensionality component of a support region of the image data, wherein the, non-nucleus pixels of a support region; calculating a normalizing factor of the dimensionality component; for at least one weighted pattern of a pattern set, applying a weighted pattern to the dimensionality component to create a gradient vector, mapping the gradient vector to a probabilistic model, and normalizing the gradient vector by the normalizing factor; condensing probabilistic models of the plurality of support regions into a probabilistic distribution feature for at least one cell of the image data; applying a classifier to at least the probabilistic distribution feature; and detecting an object in the image data according to a result of the applied classifier.
Abstract:
A method includes obtaining from an image sensor of a video camera a primary real-time video stream comprising images of a field of view of the video camera; identifying from the primary video stream one or more regions of interest in the field of view of the video camera; while obtaining the primary video stream, creating a first video sub-stream comprising a first plurality of images for a first one of the one or more identified regions of interest, wherein: images of the first plurality of images include image data for portions of the field of the video camera that include the first identified region of interest, and the images of the first plurality of images have fields of view that are smaller than the field of view of the video camera; and providing the first video sub-stream for display at a client device.
Abstract:
The various implementations described herein include systems and methods for recognizing persons in video streams. In one aspect, a method includes: (1) obtaining a live video stream; (2) detecting person(s) in the stream; and (3) determining, from analysis of the live video stream, personally identifiable information of the detected person(s); (4) determining, based on the personally identifiable information, that the first person is not known to the computing system; (5) in accordance with the determination that the first person is not known: (a) storing the personally identifiable information; and (b) requesting a user to classify the first person; and (6) in accordance with (i) a determination that a predetermined amount of time has elapsed since the request was transmitted and a response was not received, or (ii) a determination that a response was received classifying the first person as a stranger, deleting the stored personally identifiable information.
Abstract:
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for providing event alerts. In one aspect, a method includes: (1) obtaining a video feed, the video feed comprising a plurality of images; and, (2) for each image, analyzing the image to determine whether the image includes a person, the analyzing including: (a) determining that the image includes a potential instance of a person by analyzing the image at a first resolution; (b) in accordance with the determination that the image includes the potential instance, denoting a region around the potential instance; (c) determining whether the region includes an instance of the person by analyzing the region at a second resolution, greater than the first resolution; and (d) in accordance with a determination that the region includes the instance of the person, determining that the image includes the person.
