Abstract: Various systems and methods are presented regarding utilizing technology to determine a vehicle occupant's reaction to a soundscape present in a passenger compartment in which they are located. Sound waves present in the soundscape can result for sources internal and external to the vehicle, as well as sound waves transmitted into the passenger compartment as part of an audio technique, such as audio suppression, audio enhancement, anti-noise, audio cancellation, etc. Occupant feedback can be via a button, gesture recognition, speech, a physical condition, and suchlike, and can indicate approval or disapproval of the soundscape. Location of the vehicle can be determined based on GPS data, images of the operating environment, etc. The network of devices can be clocked with a common protocol to enable synchronization of fused data.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for detecting and processing gestures, expressions (e.g., facial), tone and/or gestures of the user for the purpose of improving the quality and speed of interactions with computer-based systems. Such information may be detected by one or more sensors such as, for example, electromyography (EMG) sensors used to monitor and record electrical activity produced by muscles that are activated. Other sensor types may be used, such as optical, inertial measurement unit (IMU), or other types of bio-sensors. The system may use one or more sensors to detect speech alone or in combination with gestures, expressions (e.g., facial), tone and/or gestures of the user to provide input or control of the system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method (500) for determining, using a machine learning (ML) model, extended reality (XR) notification types for delivering notification of an event to a user is provided. The method includes receiving user information, wherein the user information includes user characteristics and relationships data; receiving event information, wherein the event information includes event type data; determining, using a machine learning (ML) model, recommended notification types for delivering notification of the event to the user and, for each recommended notification type, predicted emotional state information including a predicted emotional state of the user and a rating; receiving local preferences information for the user, wherein the local preferences information includes one or more of local preferences for different notification types, different event types, and different wanted emotional states; selecting the notification type for delivering the notification of the event to the user by comparing, for each recommended notification type, the predicted emotional state information and the local preferences information; and delivering the notification of the event to the user using the selected notification type.

Abstract: The invention is concerned with a method for performing a calibration procedure for calibrating an eye tracking device (12), wherein a stimulus object (S) is displayed within a certain display area (22), such that the stimulus object (S) is at least temporarily moving along a defined trajectory (26) and images of at least one eye (16) of at least one user (18) are captured during the displaying of the stimulus object (S). Based on the captured images gaze data are provided and in dependency of the gaze data gaze points (P) of the at least one eye (16) of the user (18) with respect to the display area (22) are determined. Further, at least one calibration parameter (a1; a2; a3; a4; a5; a6; a7; a8; a9; a10; a11; a12; a13; a14; Θ; R; K; a; b; r) of at least one predefined calibration model (M, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6) is determined in dependency of a first analysis at least of positions of at least part of the respective gaze points (P) with regard to the defined trajectory (26) of the stimulus object (S). Further, at least one control parameter (N, (A, D), T) is determined in dependency of at least part of the captured gaze data and controlling the execution of at least part of the calibration procedure in dependency of the at least one determined control parameter (N, (A, D), T).
