Abstract: A pump having the usual suction and discharge check valves contained in a cartridge which may be removed and replaced without having to dismantle any of the other pump structure. The cartridge is in the form of a bolt-shaped member which is inserted into a bore in the pump cylinder and is provided with check valves and suitable communication means to position the check valves in control of the suction and discharge flows to and from the pump. This abstract is neither intended to define the invention of the application which, of course, is measured by the claims, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the invention in any way.
