摘要： The invention is an adjustable force deflection device which can be used to guide, deflect, and apply force used in the restoration of deformed vehicle bodies on work benches or straighteners. The device consists of at least two fixable, pivoted joints, each comprising a pair of coupling discs that can be independently rotated about a common central axis to a desired angle relative to each other and then fixed in place. One of the coupling discs in each of the at least two pivotable joints is connected to either a separate force application device or to a tool attached to the portion of the vehicle body to be restored. The second of the coupling discs in each pair is connected to at least one rigid, elongated element of various possible sizes and shapes, or to a plurality of such rigid, elongated elements and interconnecting pivotable joints connected in alternating series. The pivotable joints and interconnecting rigid elements can be arranged in combinations of angles between each other so as to direct the restoring force around an intervening obstacle, to precisely direct the force to be applied to the vehicle body, or to transform an applied pulling force into a pushing force and vice versa.

摘要： A door-like closure for passageways in high-risk high-security installations includes a multilayer protective plate which has a rather high resistance to mechanical, thermal and chemical damaging influences, but which can be rather easily damaged by the action of explosives. To reinforce the protective plate, a reinforcing grid is juxtaposed therewith at the major surface thereof which faces the interior of the installation so that, when an attempt is made to destroy the protective plate by explosives, the reinforcing grid not only will increase the resistance of the protective plate to damage but also will permit the explosive shockwave and the possible debris of the protective plate propelled thereby to penetrate through the apertures of the grid without causing any considerable damage to the grid. The apertures of the grid have such dimensions that an intruder will not be able to reach through the aperture into the interior of the installation to, for instance, manipulate the lock of the closure. The grid may consist of a plurality of grid elements of polygonal cross sections which intersect each other at right angles in two sets and in one or two layers, being connected to each other between the two sets. However, the reinforcing grid may be a homogeneous reinforcing plate formed with the apertures. A plurality of passages may be provided in the protective plate, extending substantially parallel to the plane of the protective plate and serving to divert the flow of the effects of the explosion from normal to the plane of the protective plate to substantially parallel thereto. A contact mesh may be incorporated in the protective plate and generate a signal when the latter is damaged or otherwise tampered with.

摘要： The invention relates to a drive apparatus for motor vehicles, with an internal combustion engine whose power output shaft by way of a flywheel with an integrated torsional vibration damper and by way of a separating clutch drives the change-speed gearbox of the motor vehicle, the separating clutch with the secondary mass of the torsional vibration damper being pivoted on the input shaft of the transmission and the hub section of the separating clutch being supported directly or indirectly on the power output shaft in the axial direction. To prevent internal distortions and possibly wobble motions of the separating clutch, it is proposed that radially extending contact surfaces be made directly or indirectly spherical between the power output shaft and the hub section.
