    摘要: The present invention relates to a dripless chimney cap which prevents condensates from dripping down the outside of a chimney. The dripless chimney cap includes a cone-shaped top cap at the top of the chimney cap for stopping liquids and objects from falling into the chimney. A condensation drip pan in the shape of an inverted cone is positioned below the top cap and functions to catch and collect condensates, directing them toward the inside of the chimney flue. A mounting flange attaches to the chimney and secures the condensation drip pan and top cap to the chimney. A screen mesh located between the condensation drip pan and the mounting flange is designed to allow cross air flow.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a folding chimney flue cap [1000] for fitting chimneys. The folding flue cap [1000] is manufactured as a flat body [1100] having an end panel [1140], a side panel [1160], another end panel [1150], and another side panel [1170], separated by fold lines [1180] between the panels. The folding chimney flue cap [1000] also includes top tabs [1120] above each of these panels. There are also bottom tabs [1130] below each of these panels. The flat body [1100] has a first connector part [1210] at one end and a second connector part [1220] on the other end. The folding flue cap [1000] may be readily shipped in its compact form and assembled into a box shape connecting first connector part [1210] to second connector part [1220]. The top tabs [1120] and the bottom tabs [1130] may be bent either inwardly or outwardly to better match the structures to which it would connect.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a dripless chimney cap [1100] employed in the protection of a chimney flue from the natural elements of the outside environment. Said enclosure protects the opening of a chimney flue by acting as a barrier to entry while preventing condensates from dripping down the outside of chimney. These condensates are the result of the combustion process occurring within a heating source to which a chimney is connected. The dripless chimney cap [1100] includes a top cap [1110], which is a cone-shaped plate at the top of the chimney cap [1100] for stopping liquids and objects from falling into the chimney. A condensation drip pan [1120] in the shape of an inverted cone is positioned below the top cap [1110] and functions to catch and collect condensates which drip down from the top cap [1110]. It directs the condensates toward the inside of the chimney flue. A mounting flange [1130] attaches to the chimney and secures the condensations drip pan [1120] and top cap to the chimney. In an alternative embodiment, a flared lip [1150] on the mounting flange [1130]] extends outward to catch condensates falling through the screen mesh [1160]. A screen mesh [1160] located between the condensations drip pan [1120] and the mounting flange [1130] is designed to allow cross air flow so as to provide the chimney effect needed for proper usage of a chimney.

    摘要: A collapsible airstream deflector is secured to the roof of a towing vehicle to deflect air over a towed vehicle when the vehicles are in motion to reduce the air resistance or drag and fuel consumption of the vehicles. The airstream deflector has pivotal arms secured to the rear surface of a sheetlike airstream deflecting member. The arms respectively are swung to planes, each of which is generally perpendicular to the plane of the deflecting member, the arms being locked in place by means of a single removable locking bar applied to the ends of the arms before the deflector is secured to the roof. When the deflector is removed from the vehicle roof, the locking bar is removed; then the arms are swung against the rear surface of the deflecting member so that the deflector can be easily stored. Notwithstanding the fact that the arms are easily pivotable, the deflector is self-stabilizing when the arms are locked in their operative positions by the removable locking bar. This enables the airstream deflector to withstand the substantial wind forces created by vehicle motion.
