    摘要: Insulated flexible metal piping is provided which includes a metal piping section having inner and outer windings comprising metal bands which are spiral-wound in overlying relation with their leading and trailing edges forming a spiral, interlocked seam. The flexible metal piping section is slidably inserted in an insulating sleeve, which can comprise a plastic material for enclosing the metal piping section. A method of forming the insulated metal piping is disclosed which includes the steps of providing inner and outer spiral windings; interlocking the leading and trailing edges thereof; and slidably inserting a flexible metal piping section formed thereby in an insulating sleeve. Further disclosed is an application of the insulated metal piping in a flue system.

    摘要: The adjustable pipe fitting of the invention has double walls in accordance with Type B standards established by the American National Standards Institute and Underwriters Laboratories. In the preferred embodiment, the invention comprises a main conduit having three sections which are rotatably coupled together. A branch conduit is securely connected to the main conduit so that fluid communication exists between the branch and main conduits. The branch conduit also comprises three sections which are rotatably coupled together. The main conduit sections and the branch sections are coupled together at oblique angles relative to their respective longitudinal axes to provide a means for adjusting the fitting to accommodate connector pipes having various angles and orientations.

    摘要: A chimney cap assembly for use in the installation of non-masonry chimneys including a chimney chase and a centrally extending chimney pipe. The chimney cap assembly includes a one-piece chimney cap for positioning upon the chimney chase. The chimney cap includes a central opening shaped and dimensioned for positioning about the chimney pipe, wherein the central opening includes an upwardly extending flange. The chimney cap assembly further includes a collar member having an inner edge positioned at the top of the collar member and an outer edge positioned at the bottom of the collar member. The collar member is positioned above the chimney cap such that the bottom of the collar member substantially overlaps the upwardly extending flange along a longitudinal axis extending along the chimney pipe. In addition, the inner edge of the collar member is secured to the chimney pipe creating a seal therebetween. The overlap between the upwardly extending flange and the collar member substantially prevents the passage of undesirable objects between the chimney chase and the chimney pipe without necessitating the formation of a seal between the collar and the chimney cap.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a folding chimney flue cap [1000] for fitting chimneys. The folding flue cap [1000] is manufactured as a flat body [1100] having an end panel [1140], a side panel [1160], another end panel [1150], and another side panel [1170], separated by fold lines [1180] between the panels. The folding chimney flue cap [1000] also includes top tabs [1120] above each of these panels. There are also bottom tabs [1130] below each of these panels. The flat body [1100] has a first connector part [1210] at one end and a second connector part [1220] on the other end. The folding flue cap [1000] may be readily shipped in its compact form and assembled into a box shape connecting first connector part [1210] to second connector part [1220]. The top tabs [1120] and the bottom tabs [1130] may be bent either inwardly or outwardly to better match the structures to which it would connect.
