摘要: A lateral rear region of a motor vehicle has a rear body member which extends at least behind a rear wheel housing of the motor vehicle, an air directing device, and an air guidance element of the air directing device. The air guidance element is displaceable relative to the rear body member between a rest position in which it is retracted into the lateral rear region and an operating position in which it is extended out of the lateral rear region in such a way that, in the retracted rest position of the air guidance element, a flow guide surface of the air guidance element is covered by the rear body member. In the extended operating position of the air guidance element, the flow guide surface of the air guidance element is displaced towards the rear, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle.

The lateral rear region includes an air directing device, wherein an air guidance element of the air directing device is displaceable relative to the rear vehicle body member between a rest position retracted in the lateral rear region and an operational position extended out of the lateral rear portion. In the retracted rest position, a flow guide surface of the air guidance element is covered by the rear vehicle body member. In the extended operational position, the flow guide surface of the air guidance element is, at least in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle, displaced rearward relative to the rear vehicle body member.

摘要: A control unit is presented for controlling a driving unit arranged for adjustment of one or more first air guiding flaps of a motorised vehicle between a first outer position and a second outer position. The control unit comprises a communication module for communicating with a vehicle control network for receiving first adjustment instructions for adjusting the first flap, a power supply module comprising an input power terminal for receiving power from a vehicle power network and a first output power terminal for supplying a first current to the driving unit. The control unit further comprises a current sensor module for sensing variations in the first supply current and a control module arranged to control the first supply current in accordance with the adjustment instructions and the sensed variations. By separating the control module from the driving unit, functionality of the control module may be shared over multiple driving units.

摘要: According to a link mechanism type variable wheel deflector applied to a vehicle, a deflector coupled to a cover plate using a hinge boss as a rotation center can be operated using traveling resistant wind as a driving source, a piston receiving the linear movement of a link shaft by a moment arm rotated with the deflector can unfold the deflector while compressing an elastic member, and an elastic restoring force of the elastic member can be applied to the piston to return the link shaft and the moment arm to fold the deflector, thereby strengthening the repeated durability of the elastic member compared to the rotating motion of the spring, and in particular, the rotating motion and the linear motion can be implemented by the link motion mechanism apparatus connected to the deflector, thereby implementing the high durability performance with the low-cost mechanical structure.

摘要: A method of producing a desired driving performance for a vehicle includes regulating a pressure inside a bladder, which defines an outer surface of the vehicle. A change in the bladder pressure changes the shape of the bladder, and thereby changes a shape of the outer surface of the vehicle, thus affecting the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The bladder pressure is regulated to be at a target bladder pressure based on the driving condition of the vehicle, which target bladder pressure can be derived from real-time machine learning or based on previous testing of a prototype of the vehicle, and thus affects aerodynamics of the vehicle so as to produce the desired driving performance for the vehicle in the driving condition.
