The casing has an opening (shaped as a parallelogram) defining an optical feed-through path between the chamber and the outside of the casing. The casing includes ceramic material in the vicinity of the opening. An adapter associated with the opening has a substantially circular aperture to accept a fiber pigtail and/or a fiber optic connector.

摘要： The signal to be controlled is sent along an optical fiber by a wavelength tunable laser whose emission wavelength may be varied as a function of a possible phase variation in the received signal with respect to a reference phase. At the receiving end of the fiber a control signal is generated by extracting a fraction of the power associated with the received signal and sending such fraction back towards the transmitting end, and at the transmitting end the phase of the fraction is compared with that of the original signal and the tunable laser is driven in such a way as to transmit a wavelength such that the clock information reaches the receiving end with the reference phase.

摘要： A process and device are provided for stabilizing the emission wavelength of an optical source, which emits radiation at a first wavelength, by locking to the emission wavelength of an optical reference source which emits radiation at a second wavelength which is substantially different from the first. The stabilization device applies to the source to be stabilized a feedback signal obtained by detection of an optical beat between the two radiations. A two-photon absorption for the first wavelength is used to generate the beat.
