    摘要: The arrangement includes first and second patterns such as photolithographic patterns of electrically conductive indicia provided on respective first and second surfaces of the components to be positioned. The patterns are adapted for relative movement in sliding contact relationship along the positioning axis. The patterns of electrically conductive indicia define electrically conductive pads at least one of which reaches the condition of being either open or closed when the surfaces on which the patterns are provided reach a given position along the positioning axis. Sensing is preferably effected by means of an amperometer.

    摘要: An on/off switchable source of a continuous optical signal at a respective wavelength (λ2) is provided to be turned off when the wavelength (λ1) of the modulated incoming signal corresponds to the respective wavelength (λ2) generated by the source while turning said source on when the wavelength (λ1) of the incoming signal differs from the source wavelength (λ2). A Michelson interferometer is provided adapted to receive the incoming signal and the continuous optical signal generated by the source to produce an output signal. The Michelson interferometer is adapted to give rise to destructive viz. constructive interference when the incoming signal has first and second logical values, respectively. When the wavelength (λ1) of the incoming signal, which is not generally known a priori, corresponds to the source wavelength (λ2), the source is switched off and the output signal is a replica of the incoming signal regenerated at the interferometer. When the wavelength (λ1) of the incoming signal differs from the source wavelength (λ2), the source is switched on and the output signal is a replica of the incoming signal regenerated at the interferometer and wavelength converted to the source wavelength (λ2).

    摘要: A receiver for optical signals arranged in packets of data having a discontinuous flow pre-reads the signal and generates, for each packet, a corresponding signal indicating the phase of the data in the packet, and a threshold level indicating the packet mean signal power. A delay line delays the discontinuous flow by a delay interval. A receiver responsive to the discontinuous flow delayed by the delay line performs, on each packet, a receiving operation on the basis of the threshold level and with a phase identified on the basis of the phase indicating signal.

    摘要: The device for the phase realignment of ATM cells in an optical ATM switching node is associated with each input line (Fe) of node and includes a circuit for recognizing the beginning of a cell, a circuit for evaluating the time shift between of a cell and a reference instant and for generating an error signal (ER) depending on the amount of time difference, and a delay line for compensating the time difference, driven by the error signal (ER). The time difference compensator means includes a logarithmic optical delay line that is connected upstream of the device for recognizing the beginning of a cell and for evaluating the amount of the time difference.
