摘要： A method and apparatus is disclosed for converting a wide-bandwidth signal to a narrow-bandwidth signal, the disclosed method and apparatus being particularly well suited for converting a wide-bandwidth real-time television signal to a narrow-bandwidth signal. A sampled video signal is coupled to an analog-to-digital converter which converts the amplitude of each sampled element to a binary code word having a predetermined number of bits. The binary code words are then written into a buffer storage element controlled by a clock switching device and later clocked out of the buffer storage device at a clock rate less than the input rate with the output from the buffer storage device being coupled to a digital-to-analog converter whose output is an analog signal with the same amplitude variations as the sampled video signal but with a time base stretched out by a predetermined factor. The field, either odd or even interlace, from which the sampled video signal was taken is identified by ascertaining the location of the horizontal signal pulses relative to the vertical signal pulse, and this field index may then be used to code the output narrow-bandwidth video signal. Another embodiment is disclosed which utilizes an analog shift register as the buffer storage device in place of the digital buffer storage with its attached analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter. An alternate embodiment is disclosed which utilizes a pair of parallel connected buffer storage units (either digital or analog) controlled by output gating to provide for a continuous non-interlaced narrow-bandwidth signal.

摘要： An air filter having a counter rotating drum, i.e., the rotation of the drum is opposite the tangential intake of air. The intake air has about 1 lb. of rock wool fibers per 10.sup.7 cu. ft. of air sometimes at about 100% relative humidity. The fibers are doffed from the drum by suction nozzle which are adjacent to the drum at the bottom of the filter housing. The drum screen is cleaned by periodically jetting hot dry air at 120 psig through the screen into the suction nozzles.

摘要： The bottom of a lint feeder housing is manufactured such that the high speed belt which it houses is quickly and easily changed. The bottom of the housing is lowered after loosening the four hinged thumb bolts which secure the bottom to the housing. After the bottom is lowered, the axles which support conveyor rollers are lowered a little on one side. The worn belt is removed and a new belt is slipped between the axles and the frame of the housing then over the rollers. Once the new belt is in place, the axles are raised and the bearing housings are fixed to the feed housing. Finally, the bottom of the housing is raised and secured in place.

摘要： Cotton in an extractor-feeder is passed through three scrubber cylinders. The first two having grid bars of a regular 1/4 or 5/16 inch spacing and the third having grid bars at about twice the regular, or 1/2 inch spacings. Any locks of seed cotton in the trash from the third scrub cylinder are reclaimed by reclamation saw which also reclaims any cotton slung off by a main saw cylinder. Also dust is removed by a suction connected into the housing.
