摘要: The present invention provides a composition suitable for an air barrier such as an automotive tire innertube, innerliner, and aircraft tire innertube or innerliner, curing bladders, and other pneumatic devices. The composition comprises an elastomer comprising C4 to C7 isoolefin derived units; and a plastomer, wherein the plastomer is a copolymer of ethylene derived units and C3 to C10 α-olefin derived units, the plastomer having a density of less than 0.915 g/cm3. In a desirable embodiment, naphthenic and aromatic oils are substantially absent from the composition. In another embodiment, a polybutene processing oil is present. Further, in yet another embodiment, a secondary rubber is also present such as, for example, natural rubber or butyl rubber, or a butadiene-based rubber.

摘要: An orthopedic bandage with a curable resin applied to a substrate with the cut ends of the substrate bound together with a binder-detackifier composition. The bandage is constructed by applying stripes of the binder-detackifier agent to the substrate. The substrate is then cut within a stripe of the binder-detackifier composition so that the binding aspect of the composition will stabilize the cut ends of the substrate. A curable resin is also to be applied to the substrate. The detackifying aspect of the composition allows handling of the curable resin while minimizing or eliminating the sticky or tacky feelings normally associated with resins during the curing process. The end placement of the stripes of binder-detackifier allow the user to control the amount of detackifier transferred to the gloves used by the user while applying the bandage both during cast construction and during the final formation.
