摘要: A radio frequency identification, RFID, security system tag is provided. The tag includes an RFID element and a first housing portion. The first housing portion defines an interior and an opening. The interior of the first housing portion includes an inner periphery and a shelf disposed about at least a portion of the inner periphery. The interior of the first housing portion also includes a plurality of protrusions in which the plurality of protrusions extend outwardly from the shelf toward the opening. The RFID element is disposed at least in part on the plurality of protrusions.

The methods comprise: disposing a resonator with a flat planar cross-sectional profile in a cavity formed in a first substrate partially defining a marker housing; sealing the cavity using a second substrate; placing a first bias element adjacent to the second substrate so that the resonator will be biased by the first bias element when the marker is in use to oscillate at a frequency of a received transmit burst; and using a physical structure in the cavity or a magnetic field passing through the cavity to reduce frictional forces between the resonator and at least the second substrate.

摘要: Security tag includes a housing and a movable locking element. A latch within the housing is resiliently biased toward the movable locking element and movable responsive to a magnetic field between a locked position and an unlocked position. A guide structure is arranged to constrain movement of the latch. The latch and the guide structure are cooperatively arranged to ensure an engagement that will disrupt a motion trajectory of the latch occurring when the housing is subjected to a physical impact. Consequently, the latch is selectively inhibited from moving fully from the locked position to the unlocked position when the housing is subjected to the physical impact.

The methods comprise: obtaining a resonator material which has been annealed under a tensile force selected to provide a maximum resonant amplitude at a bias field; providing by a bias material of the marker an operating bias field with a value less than a value of the bias field; forming a first housing portion from a flexible material so as to have a planar shape; and forming a second housing portion from the flexible material so as to comprise a cavity in which the resonator and bias materials can be housed when the second housing portion is coupled to the first housing portion. The cavity is defined by two opposing short sidewalls, two opposing elongate sidewalls (OESW) and a bottom sidewall. Each of OESW is stiffened by forming a plurality of first stiffener edge features along an exterior surface thereof.
